Lindemuth - Algebra I - When I think of Mr. Lindemuth. I think of a man, who has been around for a while, and wanted to complete his life's to do list. Although he only spent 1 year at Monte Vista, I could tell he did not regret one day of being our teacher. He told us stories about how he would build his speakers, and how heavily he was involved with electronics. He told us that he used to wake up at 4:00am every morning to work on his speakers. He is an old man, so students periodically snuck out of his class, to catch an inning or two of the P.E. Softball game. He never seemed to notice that. Although one time the entire right side made about 20 paper airplanes and fired them at the other all at once. He became upset, but that doesn't exclude the fact that we dared to try it with Mr. Lindemuth. On the level of difficulty, I would have to say that he is one of the easiest math teachers I've ever had. His tests are fairly easy. And homework is rarely taken into close inspection. Homework is worth 5 pts. each, and if you catch him on a mistake you get a +1. I put a +2 on all of my homework and what do ya know, I got a 7/5 on every one. That's not the only x-tra credit I received. He assigns a 200pt x-tra credit assignment on the math topic of your choice. Mine just so happened to be circles. I was in a group of 3 which he let us be in but was supposed to be a group of 2, but anyway, the group I was in, just copied it from Encarta '95 and turned it in. Wait! That's not all. You would expect from what I've told you that he wouldn't catch this obvious perjury, but he did. And guess what. He marked us half down and gave us 100 x-tra credit points instead of 200 pts. Awww, that's too bad. I could have used that extra 100pts, to raise my grade from a 102% to a 105%. Oh yah, and all students in his class that have over 95% don't have to take the final. Sorry guys don't know how the final went. I would love to have Mr. Lindemuth again as a teacher. His life stories were very interesting and kept me awake throughout my first period class.
